Commissioner Perales working towards general election; Faces Xenia democrat

With only two days remaining to file for the 2008 primary and general election, a Xenia democrat filed the appropriate paperwork thereby gaining eligibility to appear on the March 2008 primary election ballot and the November 2008 general election ballot.   According to Greene County Board of Election data, Eddie K. Baumann from Xenia, Ohio will be Rick's General Election opponent.  The Greene County Commission, like 87 of the other 88 counties, have three specific seats.  Terms for two of the Commissioner seats fall in line with the Presidential elections.  The other seat (currently occupied by Alan Anderson)  falls on the off year election.  Rick's seat, defined as taking office Jan 2, 2009, has only Mr. Baumann and him running.  The other seat (Jan 1, 2008, currently occupied by Ralph Harper, who is not running) has Republican Marilyn Reid running against Democrat Jerry Sutton.  See primary election results at the Greene County Board Election web site.
